The Libby Christian Church went all out last weekend, when they packaged food for disaster victims across the world.
From 9 a.m. to noon, just under three hundred volunteers formed an assembly line at the church and packaged 70,000 meals of dry food and sent them to Independent Disaster Emergency Services (IDES).
The meals, that are made by just adding water, will go all over the world to disaster areas, including Haiti, who suffered a hurricane last summer.
The volunteers measured rice, soy, vegetables and vitamin packets into a six-serving bag. Then, another person would weigh the bag before they would seal the bag for packing.
According to Beth Byrns at the church, before Christmas the church wanted to do something for charity that brought their whole church together.
Many members of the church and volunteers from the community came out in the morning to help.
