Since Paint It Pink fundraising efforts began in 2007, the fund has helped to provide a digital mammography machine, as well as over 190 free diagnostic and screening mammograms and breast ultrasounds to uninsured men and women in Lincoln County. In 2016, fundraising efforts brought in another $9,000 for the fund.

“We are so proud of the work that has been accomplished, and grateful to all of the community members and businesses that come together year after year to make it possible,” said Kate Stephens, Marketing Manager and Executive Director of the CPMC Foundation. “A huge thank you to all of the businesses that supported this year’s fundraising efforts. We were able to add some fun events to the schedule this October, and are grateful to everyone who helped out. The effort and generosity really is impacting our community and saving local lives.”

In 2016, Cabinet Peaks Medical Center provided a record number of free mammograms and ultrasounds through the Paint It Pink program with a total of 36 for the calendar year. “We continue to work on education for the community and the providers about this program, and the efforts seem to be paying off. Our goal is simply to help as many people as we can,” added Stephens.
