The Lady Loggers’ Shannon Reny knocked down 22 points to push Libby past Eureka for a 52-29 win during the Battle of the Kootenai on Tuesday.

“I was very proud of the way our girls defended, especially in the [second] half,” head coach Wally Winslow said in an email. “Eureka has several girls that can score and I thought we did a nice job of taking away their open looks. Shannon Reny had a big night for us offensively, and as a team we shot the ball very well. Emma Gruber came off the bench in the third quarter and give us some great minutes.”

In the first half, Libby left the scoreboard in their favor with 27-16 over the Lady Lions. The Lady Loggers also took the second half with an additional 25 over the Lady Lions’ 10.

While Reny led the team, Jayden Winslow scored nine, Khalyn Hagness tallied six, Madisen Monigold and Emma Gruber scored four, Alli Collins came in with three and Abby Ennenga and Sammee Bradeen scored two each.

The Lady Loggers are now 3-1 in conference and 3-3 overall.

The Lady Loggers will host Columbia Falls on Friday.
