Accepting nominations for Person of the Year

The Western News is now accepting nominations for Lincoln County Person of the Year.

People in the community will be given the opportunity to recognize one of their fellow citizens, a member of law enforcement, teacher, local government official, or anyone who the nominator believes has had the greatest positive impact on our communities during 2016.

Nominations will include the nominee’s name and the nominator’s name. Optionally, a nominator may include their number and a brief summary of why they’re nominating this particular member of the community.

Submit your nominations by 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13 via email to reporter@thewesternnews.com or drop them by our office at 311 California Ave. The person of the year will be announced in our Jan. 17 edition.
