About once a month, Troy Schools superintenent Dr Jacob Francom hosts two or three students from the lower grades of the elementary in the high school. Dubbed ‘Super for a day”, the tradition rewards students who earn citizen of the week nominations.
This month, Kindergartener Kyleijh Johnson, first grader Abbey Kanzler and third grader Rorick Tallmadge were the lucky ones, and all three were brimming with excitement as they filled out ‘Trojan tickets’ in Dr Francom’s office to give out to well behaved high schoolers.
Abbey claimed she would find her older brother and give him ‘the smacks’ for ‘not working hard enough’, while Rorick wanted to give his cousin a ticket for being ‘respectful and responsible’. Kyleigh ‘I have four names’ Johnson even sported a pair of paper spectacles for the occasion.
