Sandra Lee Blow

Sandra Lee Blow passed away on Feb. 18, 2017 at her home in Libby Mont. surrounded by her family, after a short battle with cancer. She was born on Aug. 11, 1946 to Ralph and Rene Hildreth in Shelby, Mont. She was the middle daughter of Ralph and Rene. She attended schools in Shelby, where she met Herb Cook. They were married and had four children. Sandy and Herb moved to Libby, where she lived out the rest of her life. They later divorced. Sandy then met and married Gary James Blow and they had one son, blending two families into one.

Sandy worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at the Libby Care Center and also as a housekeeper at the Sandman Motel, she also cleaned numerous houses before retiring. She spent her days driving what her kids call the mom loop, and calling each night to make sure we all were OK and baking the best chocolate chip cookies ever.

Sandy is survived by her children Sheri Huffman (Craig), Christi Quinn, Jason Wise, Teresa Jenkins, Gary Burchett, Bill Cook, Brian Blow, and a step son Marvin Burrell; 14 grandchildren, Brandie Woody, Sky Barry, Justin Barry, Brandon Huffman, Kirsten Cook, Joey Jenkins, Jordon Quinn, Kylee Quinn, Taylor Cook, Brittany Cook, Owen Cook, Ayla Cook, Kaya Blow, Lynley Carter and Orion Burrell and 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Valerie Souther (Dennis), Rita Dunn (Joe); a sister-in-law Audrey Straight; numerous cousins and nieces and nephews and a life time of friends she has made along the way.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Rene Hildreth, her ex-husband Herb Cook, a daughter-in-law Sandra Cook, and her best friend and husband Gary James Blow.

A celebration of Sandra’s life will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday Feb. 28 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Libby. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
