Chamber of Commerce announces two new board members

The Libby Area Chamber of Commerce announced on Friday the addition of two new members, Liz Whalen and Kaide Dodson, to the Chamber’s board of directors.

The addition of Whalen and Dodson brings the board to its full seven-member capacity as the board moves to re-energize the Chamber.

Whalen is the owner/operator of Beyond Training in Libby, a gym focused on private and small-group fitness training. She moved to Libby with her husband Tim two years ago.

“My husband and I moved to Libby the summer of 2015, from Saint Louis, Missouri, with a goal of finding a community that would enhance our lives, personally and professionally,” she said. “We wanted to have access to amazing outdoor recreation opportunities and live a simpler lifestyle. We found that and more in Libby, which is now our home.”

Dodson is the Director of Curriculum, Special Education, Federal Programs and Grants for Libby School District. She is a Libby native who has returned home to raise her family.
