Mission rolls past Trojans

Despite a comeback in the second half, the Troy Trojans were ultimately outscored by Mission on Saturday 82-65.

In the second half, the Trojans outscored Mission 41-34, but by then Mission had already dominated the second quarter with 30-11 on the clock — a score that guided them to the win.

Troy’s Dillon Savage scored a whopping 24 points to lead the game. Mason Chapel also scored a significant 18 points for the team. Austin Weidman chipped in eight, Jordan Day tallied five points, Noah Caballero and Brylee Freund each scored four and Zach Cotten added two.

The Trojans will be in Eureka from Tuesday through Saturday for Districts.

No information was avalable to The Western News from the Lady Trojans’ Saturday game against Mission by press time on Monday, but the Lady Trojans are also scheduled to go with the Trojans to Districts this Saturday.
