At Polson, the Loggers were edged by the Pirates, in a close 68-57 game on Saturday.
The Loggers weren’t quite able to catch up with the Pirates after outscoring them in the first quarter 18-16. After that, the Loggers lost their momentum as they trailed behind the Pirates by just a few points in every quarter.
The Loggers outdid the Pirates in three-pointers, but the Pirates were able to make up for it in free-throws and rebounds.
Ryggs Johnston led the game with a whopping 25 points.
Ryan Nagle and Stephen Williams each added 11 points for the team as Erik Lauer chipped in six and Colin Maloney scored four.
The Loggers will be in Eureka from Tuesday through Saturday for Districts.
