Despite Thompson Falls catching up to the Libby Loggers in the fourth quarter, the Loggers secured the win with a final score of 48-45.

By the third quarter, the Loggers were outscoring Thompson Falls 43-35, but in a series of turnovers, the visiting rivals scored 10 points. This would have put them in the lead, if it weren’t for Gabe Peck and Ryan Nagle, who scored five points together, bringing the Loggers back up with 48 points.

Nagle led the team with 15 points as Ryggs Johnston tallied 14. Peck chipped in eight, Erik Lauer added seven and Colin Maloney scored four.

The Loggers will face off against the Eureka Lions on Friday at home, before traveling to Polson on Saturday in a battle against the Pirates.

The divisional seeding tournament will take place next week, on Feb. 24, 25 and 26 in Ronan.

With the win, the Libby Loggers are second behind Bigfork in the division with 5-2 conference and 9-6 overall records.
