Six area students earn UM degrees

Two students from Libby and four from Troy earned degrees from the University of Montana, the school announced Wednesday. Students and their degrees are:

Libby

Makayla Cichosz-King: bachelor of arts in English and in women’s, gender and sexuality studies

Genesea Meha: bachelor of arts in social work

Troy

Steven Burk: associate of arts in general studies

Alan Carmignani: associate of applied science in respiratory care

Anthony Edge: certificate of completion in computer aided design

Tisee Lewis: master of education in educational leadership

Cichosz-King and Meha are expected to complete their degree requirements and graduate with high honors by achieving at least a 3.7 GPA, a news release states.

“Official awarding of a degree and any official graduation with honors or graduation with high honors designation is not made until degree candidates have completed their final term of enrollment and have met all specific requirements,” the news release states.
