Christopher James Thom

Christopher James Thom, 48, of Libby died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at his home in Libby from natural causes. He was born March 9, 1969 in Kalispell to Richard and Cheryl Thom. Chris graduated from Jamestown High School with the class of 1987. He also completed some college curriculum.

In November 1990, Chris married Jada Snyder. They were blessed with a son and daughter, Chris and Jada divorced in September of this year. Chris worked many jobs over the years including Beck’s Café, 4-B’s Restaurant, Interstate Engineering, Kootenai Valley Head Start and recently at Achievements until his time of death. He loved his job and working with his clients.

He enjoyed hiking, family barbecues, four-wheeling, helping his family and playing with his nieces and nephews. He loved his children, family and friends.

Chris was preceded in death by his dad, Richard Thom; his mom, Cheryl Blinco; and an infant sister Linda Thom.

Survivors include his son Andrew Rhodes of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter Victoria Tipton of Libby; brother’s Rick Thom (Nicki) of Kalispell; Charles Thom (Ashley) of Libby; sisters Teresa McLeod of Libby, Leandra Hunstman (James) of Lakeside and Jessica Smith (Mike) of Libby; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and his faithful puppy Scoops.

A Life Celebration will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church at 200 West Larch St. in Libby from noon to 4 p.m. We are having a potluck; please bring a dish if you can. All are invited to celebrate his life.
