Cabinet Peaks Medical Center in June purchased a new portable ultrasound machine thanks to a $50,000 United States Department of Agriculture grant, giving the facility a much-needed second ultrasound machine.

According to a news release, the medical center’s ultrasound volume has been steadily increasing, with a current average of 188 exams a month. “The second ultrasound will shorten appointment wait times, and allow CPMC to keep scheduled appointments when emergency situations arise,” the news release states.
