Eureka sweeps invitational in Libby

LIBBY — The Eureka boys and girls swept the Libby Invitational held Saturday, April 22 in Libby.
Troy’s Hunter Leighty won the 200 and 400 and took second in the 100. Libby’s Tim Goodman won the 800 and 1,600 and Gavin Strom won the 100, high jump and long jump. Brian Peck came in with first place in the 110 hurdles.
Libby’s girls had a strong performance in Libby on Saturday. Sidney Stevenson finished first in the 200. Emily Mossburg took first in the 400. Lauren Thorstenson came up with 2 first, the 1,600 and the 3,200. Emma Gruber came away with two firsts in 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Libby won first in the 400 relay and 600 relay. Alli Collins, Isabella Hollingsowrth, Emily Mossburg and Sidney Stevenson were the 400 relay team. The 600 team was Abigail Creighton, Emily Mossburg, Lauren Thorstenson, and Sidney Stevenson. Abigail Creighton came away with 2 first place finishes, the pole vault and the long jump. Ella Pierce placed second for Troy in the 200.
