Vote Mark Wicks as first Libertarian in Congress

| April 21, 2017 1:44 PM

I am a long time Republican voter, but for the upcoming Montana Special Congressional Election I will be voting for Mark Wicks. Neither major political party is willing to set aside party loyalty to solve problems. Our lawmakers choose to fight each other, vote for special interests, or kick the can down the road for our children to deal with.

Mark is a constitutional libertarian who farms and runs cattle on his Inverness ranch that his grandfather started in 1913. Together with his four children and wife Beth, he keeps the family land producing and well cared for. He hopes to leave it better than he found it for the next generation.

Working the land has given Wicks the ability to problem solve and the fortitude that will serve him well as Montana’s U.S. congressman.

Mark has pledged the following:

- Reduce the deficit. We are already $20 Trillion in debt and paying $188 billion a year in interest with low interest rates.

- Protect Social Security and Medicare. He pledges to vote against any budget that takes money paid in SS and Medicare and spends it anywhere else.

- Revamp the VA. Veterans should get a VA Medicare card to receive the care they need where they live instead of driving halfway across the state for care.

- Phase out the Department of Education and block grant funding to the individual states.

- Bring activist judges to heel by impeaching judges who won’t follow their oath of office.

- Make our forests healthy again by amending the Equal Access to Justice Act and allowing logging in our forests again.

- Amend the Endangered Species Act before ranchers and farmers are caught in the crosshairs of a good bill that after 44 years needs a few touch-ups.

- Repeal the ACA and let the states decide what to do with healthcare.

- Institute tort reform to bring down the cost of medical malpractice insurance and the cost of drugs and medical supplies.

- Ban drug companies from selling drugs cheaper outside the United States than inside the country.

These are just a few of Mark’s ideas. Mark wants to hear your ideas! Please write him at wicks4freedom@gmail.com or visit his website www.wickforfreedom.com.

Please help Montana make history by electing the first Libertarian in Congress.
