Loggers play Vikings at home

Libby Logger tennis hosted the Bigfork Vikes and Vals on Tuesday, April 18. The Logger boys split the match with the Vikings 3-3. Jhamaal Sykes, No. 1 singles player, came up with the only singles win of the day 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 against Alex Buenz from Bigfork. To finish the boys side both doubles teams for the Loggers chalked up a win. Ryan Nagle and Gio Cano defeated Clayton Reichenbach and Grant Gibson 6-4, 6-3. The No. 2 doubles team of Zach Carter and Dameon Kelch had a solid win over Bigfork’s Cole Heider and Ben Johnson, 6-4, 6-3.

The Lady Loggers outplayed the Bigfork Vals 4-2. Wins for the girls singles players came from Isabelle Martineau defeating Kalia Wicklund, 6-1, 6-4 and Dora Antunes took a win from Mariila Zavala, 6-4, 6-3. On the doubles side Jessika Jones and Marissa Wood defeated Wilson Vogt and Xiao Xiao Strong, 6-4, 6-4 and Morgan Snyder and Laurynn Lauer battled to defeat Ahna Fox and Julia Saunders, 6-4, 5-7, 6-1.

The Loggers are back in action April 29 down in Missoula.
