Ruth Shepard

Ruth Shepard, 95, of Libby died peacefully at Libby Care Center on March 24, 2017, at the age of 95 years old. She was born on September 2, 1921 at Highland Falls, New York to Joseph and Ella Pavek, Sr. She lived most of her life in Burney, Cali. She was very active in St. Francis Catholic Church in Burney. She has led a long active life. She was a wife, mother and a caregiver for the Churney children and the Cunningham children. She was known as Grandma Ruth by them all.

Ruth is able to be with her husband again after a very long separation. She is at home with her Savior and her entire family and friends. She will be missed very much but knowing she is with God and family makes it easier. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, her husband, Joseph Shepard, two sons, Joe and Michael Shepard, and her son-in-law, Gene Scalf.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Scalf and eight grandchildren, Michelle, Cliff, Bob, Karen, Mike, Brenda, Mike and Terry; 11 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
