Esther Anderson, 91, of Bonners Ferry

Esther Anderson, 91, passed away Sept. 27, 2016 at Ace Elder Care in Bonners Ferry. She was born March 9, 1924 in Golden Valley, N.D. to Michael and Elizabeth Leibelt. 

Esther grew up in Golden Valley. At the age of 17 she met and married Rolland Denowh. They moved to Fairview, where they worked a farm. They later divorced and Esther married Ruie Anderson in 1968 in Idaho Falls. They made their home in Choteau and later moved to Valier where they worked their bee business. Upon their retirement they would spend their winters in Texas. Esther enjoyed crocheting and dancing and she made the “best” cinnamon rolls! She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruie Anderson, four brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her three children, Ron Denowh (Candice) and Kathy Myhre (Les), both of Libby, and Carolyn Toeckes (Lloyd) of Valier; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lydia Keffer of Ohio.

The service for Esther will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 at the City of Libby Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home, 422 W 2nd St., Libby.
