One woman was transported to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon after a rollover on Farm to Market Road left her pinned beneath her pickup.

Law enforcement officials have not yet released the name of the injured, but Lincoln County Sheriff Roby Bowe said there was only one woman involved in the crash.

Lincoln County dispatch reported the call around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday notifying agencies that a passing driver had called in a red pickup flipped on its roof off Farm to Market road, on top of a woman who was ejected in the crash.

Lincoln County, Libby Police Department, Libby Volunteer Fire Department, Libby Volunteer Ambulance and Montana Highway Patrol each responded to the scene.

The pickup had a Lincoln County license plate and appeared to have drifted off the right side of the road, hit a natural bump and connected with several trees, one of which was caught in the rear passenger-side wheel well. The woman was ejected from the vehicle before the pickup eventually settled on top of her.

Crews used an extrication machine to lift the pickup temporarily while removing the woman. Meanwhile, the ALERT Air Ambulance reported to dispatch that the pilot was unable to enter the Libby area because of bad weather. The woman was instead transported to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center.
