Commissioner Peck owes Olsen an apology

| September 6, 2016 4:49 PM

County Commissioner Peck wants to fix our city dysfunction. He proposes that Mayor Doug Roll resign for his corruption and Councilor Allen Olsen resign for opposing that corruption. He blames Councilor Olsen for defending himself against the election fraud that Mayor Roll used to cheat us out of a free and fair election. Olsen won, by the way. Commissioner Peck is embarrassed by the recall petition and wants to punish Mr. Olsen for supporting the will of the voters.

Mr. Peck has some official influence in city matters in the City/County Board of Health that he co-chairs with Mayor Doug Roll. Mr. Peck is aware that co-chair Doug Roll has authorized some problematic payments from EPA to Doug’s private, personal attorney for work which names every one of his constituents as potentially responsible parties in the Superfund site, bypassing Constitutional protections of due process through verbal sleight of hand under authority of the Board of Health which touts itself as the “one voice of the community”. This will manifest in institutional controls that come out of our pockets when Governor Martz assured us that we were protected from those costs.

Have any of you heard Commissioner Peck embarrass this county with legal proceedings to protect your rights and pocketbooks? Yeah, me either.

With all due respect, Commissioner Peck, I prefer my elected officials to fight, no matter how noisy or messy, for my rights against the systemic corruption that is the real embarrassment to this city and county.

You owe Allen Olsen an apology as much as Susie Rice and her co-signers.

DC Orr
