Vote Matt Cuffe for district judge

On Nov. 8, we will be choosing a new judge for the 19th Judicial District Court in Lincoln County.

The importance of a well-qualified individual who will preside over civil and criminal matters cannot be overstated.

As a retired attorney with broad experience in civil matters and 10 years as a county attorney handling both county government matters and criminal cases, I am well aware of the importance of choosing a very highly qualified individual to be our next judge.

Over the course of the next 10 to 20 years, our county has a great opportunity to grow vibrantly. Our 2.2 million acres of public lands offer one of the finest year-round, outdoor recreation sites in the United States, and makes us a great tourist destination vacation area and a very attractive retirement place as well. Add to that two new silver and copper mines and we have a great future.

All this activity will also mean a very busy court which will need a judge who has the experience, intellect and temperament to perform the responsibilities of the office with honor and respect. I believe Matt Cuffe is that man.

Matt Cuffe exemplifies all of the qualities needed for an excellent judge. Matt has earned an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating given to attorneys. Further, he is a senior partner in one of the state’s most respected law firms. Among his peers, Matt has an excellent reputation for high ethical standards and trustworthiness.

Matt has chosen to leave a great job and come home to be a part of building Lincoln County’s future. I believe Matt will become one of Montana’s finest district court judges. I urge you to join me in voting for him Nov. 8.
