Justice Court clerk supports Miller

| October 22, 2016 11:32 AM

My name is Robin Schiferl. I have been the administrative Justice Court clerk in Lincoln County for 15 years, and I’m a former candidate for the office of clerk of District Court.

I’m writing this letter to encourage the voters to choose Cyndi Miller as the next clerk of District Court.

I have worked with Cyndi on a daily basis for the last seven years. I’ve always found her to be extremely pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. She is well versed in a wide variety of computer programs and always answers any questions that I have about computer issues or legal language in a very courteous and thorough manner.

All courts in Montana will be seeing changes in the statewide computer system in the very near future. I believe that Cyndi is well equipped to handle that transition.

The clerk of District Court’s primary function is record keeping that requires a great deal of attention to detail. In my opinion, Cyndi is more organized and detail oriented than her opponent. One example of this can be found by visiting the Montana Commissioner of Political Practices website at https://campaignreport.mt.gov/forms/candidatesearch.jsp and view the financial filings for each of the candidates. I think you will find that Cyndi Miller’s filings are much more professional and accurate. This is the kind of record keeping ability and tech savvy that I would prefer from the clerk of District Court.

Cyndi Miller has more experience in the legal profession than the three deputy District Court clerks combined. Electing her to be in charge of the office while still maintaining the current staff will be a great value to the citizens of Lincoln County.

I’ve worked with both candidates for clerk of District Court, and I can tell you that the clear choice is Cyndi Miller. Please vote for her on Nov. 8.
