Loggers lose to Whitehall at UM stadium

The Libby Loggers traveled to Washington Grizzly Stadium on Friday and lost to the Whitehall Trojans, 59-7.
Coach Neil Fuller said it was a great experience playing at the University of Montana.
“We turned the ball over a few times early, and they scored each time,” he said.
It was 20-0 before the Loggers scored on a 3-yard run by Clancy Gout. Chandler Bower added the PAT kick.
Fuller said that sophomore outside linebacker Ethan Beck has a lacerated kidney from an injury suffered in the freshman-sophomore game last Monday against Bigfork. “He’s doing better. It’s a slow (healing) process,” he said, adding that Beck, a backup player on the varsity, will be in bed for 2-3 weeks.
Fuller said he supports the Loggers moving up to Class A next year.
“We should move up,” he said. “Class B is every bit as good as Class A because there are more schools. Class B is the toughest division in the state, across the board.”
The teams that Libby will compete against in Class A include: Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Polson, Ronan, Frenchtown and possibly Browning.
The Loggers will finish their season on Friday at Thompson Falls.
