Turner Mountain Ski Resort has hit the big screen, and locals couldn’t be more proud.

The 67th installment of the Warren Miller Film series, “Here, There & Everywhere,” came to the Dome Theater in Libby on Saturday with a packed house full of a cheering audience.

Warren Miller Films feature professional skiing from all around the globe.

Turner Mountain Ski Resort is known as a place to enjoy some fun in the sun during the cold winter months, a place to cook food and enjoy the warmth of the relatively-new lodge, which was built in 2005.

Now, the almost entirely volunteer-run, non-profit ski resort that sees an estimated 6,000 skiers each year, will share the same spotlight as some of the most famous, and dangerous, ski areas in the world.

Not only that, but it was the very first mountain featured in the move, a part of a larger segment of exploring the backcountry of Western Montana’s ski country with Warren Miller athletes Tyler Ceccanti, Collin Collins and Keith Curtis.

The screen opened up with views from the familiar Pipe Creek Road, the gateway to Turner Mountain.

When the crew tore through the mountain, they admired the old-fashioned style of Turner Mountain, which they mentioned hasn’t changed much since it opened in the 1960s.

With every shot, the packed house of over 150 cheered with ferocity. Especially when, Libby’s own Libby Cafe, was given a nod.

Part of the proceeds from Saturday’s screening will go toward the resort.
