89, of Libby

 

Lois J. Jungst, 89, of Libby, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016, at her home in Libby. She was born April 24, 1926, in Wahpeton, N.D., to Robert and Myrtle (Lomsdalen) Simms. She grew up and attended school at Wahpeton, N.D. She married Walter Jungst on June 5, 1948, and together they had three boys, Phillip, Mark and Matt. Lois worked as a cook for the public schools and was also employed with Baker’s Daycare, sometimes managing 20 or more kids and maybe a baby or two to boot. She also worked at the Libby Community Thrift Shop. She was involved in Cub Scouts for over 30 years. Lois loved to fish and really enjoyed bowling for the Jungst Welding Team. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her son, Mark; daughter-in-law Joann and siblings Bob, Lee, Joyce and Betty.

Survivors include her sons Phillip Jungst and Matt Jungst; daughter-in-law Barb Jungst; sister Luella; grandchildren Jerimiah (Amber), Laura, Kyle, Jesse, Toni and Maria; great-grandchildren Avery, Emerson, Jesse and Cody and great-great-grandchildren Samuel, Gabriel, Anika and Josephine.

Services for Lois will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
