Three Troy students were honored for their performance during the 2015-2016 high school basketball season. Sean Opland and Aurora Becquart were named to the District 7-B All-Conference second team, while Allie Coldwell earned first team honors.

Opland, a Troy senior, has accepted a scholarship to play football for Montana State University next season.

“Sean is a special athlete,” said Troy head coach Jerry Mee. “Today you do not see a lot of three-sport athletes. Sean not only is a three-sport athlete he is a three-sport athlete that performs at a high level in all three sports. I was very fortunate to coach Sean the last two years because he not only is a great athlete but a super human being. Sean has shown the younger athletes the blueprint to success if they choose to commit themselves. It will be a while before we see an athlete as accomplished as Sean. It will be fun to keep track of him next year when he plays football for the Cats.”

Coldwell and Becquart are both sophomores who had outstanding seasons for the Lady Trojans. Head coach Justin Young did not respond to a request for comment prior to press time on Monday.
