James Geil

53, of Kent, Wash.

 

James (Jim) Bruce Geil, 53, of Kent, Wash., went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016. He was born Sept. 3, 1962, in Libby.

He started school in Libby and completed school in Hawaii, where he graduated from Waipahu High School. He worked with his father, Bruce Geil, learning the construction trade and later owned and operated Lil’ Bofur Framing Company from 1988 until his death.

He married the love of his life, Lilly Kobayashi on Sept. 7, 1991. 

Jim loved the Lord. He was a member of Overlake Christian Church in Redmond, Wash., where he attended regularly and served as an usher. His life revolved around his work, his church and his family. He was “at the service” of everyone he met. He was known for his kindness, his willingness to help others and for sharing his faith.

He was preceded in death by his father Bruce E. Geil and his brother Craig Geil. He is survived by his wife Lilly; three sons, Conlan Geil (Clare), Dalton Geil and Niko Geil, all of Kent, Wash.; his mother Carolyn (Carol) Alsbury and grandmother Mary Johnson, both of Libby; sister Debbie Brookshire of Chugiak, Alaska; brothers Chad Geil of San Tan Valley, Ariz., Jayson Duszynski of Chugiak, Alaska and Bruce J. Geil of Lakeview, Ore., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Overlake Christian Church in Redmond, Wash., April 9, 2016.
