The conversation about our future has begun

I’m going to get right to it… Our community is thriving and I am completely blown away right now.

On Sunday I hosted the first ‘Motivational Happy Hour’ and to my surprise and delight, we reached full capacity; standing room only. You were all engaged and that engagement made my nervousness slowly melt away, and allowed hope to fill me entirely. My favorite thing about this event was noticing how all of our differences gave us the freedom to be ourselves, quirks and all.

Instead of being united in our sameness, we were united in our quirkiness and our awareness, our acceptance and respect for one another in our own differences. Confused yet?

What we learned from this event is that we are all here in Libby for a similar reason, and that reason is to be happy and to have a heightened quality of life. We also established that each and every one of us has something huge to offer, and it’s just about figuring out what that thing is.

I recently listened to a speech called “jump”, and the speaker said something that really resonated with me. “There was never a soul created that didn’t have a gift. You just gotta quit looking at gifts as run and jump and sing and dance. He then names several common occupations that are not given enough credit and he spoke about identifying what you are passionate about and pursuing that passion.

So where do we start? What do we do? Well we already started, right now. The wheels are turning and you are starting to recognize how completely capable you are. You are starting to see the vastness of your life and all of the possibilities that are surround you every single day. You are choosing to swim instead of sink and we as a community realize that we are the captains of this big beautiful ship right here in the middle of the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness.

One of my favorite quotes: “We never finish a conversation. The goal is not to finish a conversation; the goal is to continue the conversation.” I could keep writing but instead I will stop and leave it to you, sweet reader, to continue the conversation. Sending you love!
