June 25 – Around 10 a.m., a U.S. Highway 2 business employee called to report that a couple of people park their bikes at the business every evening and, although the employee has spoken with them, the bike owners still park them there.
June 25 – Around noon, a resident came into the sheriff’s office to talk to turn in her list of phone numbers from IRS scam calls.
June 25 – Ambulance crews responded to a call from Lee Gehring Field that a kid ran into the fence and was knocked unconscious.
June 25 – The control room at the Libby Dam called in a report at 1 p.m. that a bicycle went off the road one mile past the Libby Dam Visitor’s Center toward McGillivray Frontage Road. No one was injured.
June 25 – Also around 1 p.m., police responded to a report at the County Landfill when reporters saw an eagle with a broken wing. The eagle was taken away safely.
June 25 – A Reserve Road resident reported that a fawn was trapped in their neighbor’s new basement in the late afternoon. The fawn eventually escaped on its own.
June 26 – At around 3 a.m., dispatch received two calls regarding shots fired in the Park Street area mobile home park.
June 26 – A 4th Street resident called in at 3 a.m. to report two individuals with black back packs going up and down the alley ways lighting off fireworks.
June 26 – A Libby man was arrested on two charges of felony drug possession at 6 a.m.
June 26 – At 2 p.m., officers spotted five kids between Fifth Street Crossing and Wisconsin Avenue N. playing chicken with the train. When officers caught up with two of the suspects, they said that it was two other children.
June 26 – A Alvord Lake resident called to report that his wife or girlfriend had slapped his face with a hot spatula at around 7 p.m.
June 26 – A resident called at 8 p.m. to speak with an officer about someone breaking the windows on her vehicle.
