A district judge on Monday handed down a two-year deferred sentence to a Libby man facing seven drug charges.

District Judge James Wheelis sentenced Kimball Fehrs, 57, to two-years probation after he pleaded guilty to two felony counts of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, including possesion of two clonazepam pills and 20 diazepam pills. In December, a Lincoln County detective executed a search warrant on Fehr’s property, where he found methamphetamine, clonazepam, diazepam, codeine, oxycodone, hydrocodone and marijuana.

Lincoln County Attorney Bernard Cassidy said Fehrs is one of three codefendants in the case.

In total, Fehrs was facing a maximum 30.5 years in state prison. If Fehrs reaches two years in probation without a violation, his guilty plea would be waived from his record, Wheelis said. But, if Fehrs violates the conditions of his probation, he’ll spend 10 years in state prison without parole, Cassidy said.
