James Lyle Jones, 56, of Libby

James Lyle Jones, 56, of Libby, Mont. passed away at his home on Saturday, June 25, 2016 of natural causes. He was born July 10, 1959 in Shelby, Mont. to Jesse and Marvel (Jacobson) Majerus. Lyle grew up and attended school in Shelby. On June 14, 1978, he married Cindy Sarnow. He worked for years in the oil fields near Shelby. The past 15 years, Lyle had lived in Dutch Harbor, Alaska where he worked as a machinist for the fishing boats. Lyle loved working on cars and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Cindy of Libby; daughter Terra Martinez (R’Cittio) of Kansas City, Mo.; two sons Nolan Jones (Wendy) of Spokane, Wash. and Jesse Jones (Desiree) of Post Falls, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother Lynn Jones of Shelby, Mont.; sisters Della Crampton (Ron) of Canada and Dixie Engman (Steve) of Alaska; and in-laws Art and Earlene Sarnow, Kandy Malley, Gayle Richards and Sandy Rye all of Libby.
