Sharon Ann Seekins, 73, of Libby

Sharon Ann Seekins, 73, of Libby was called to her eternal home on June 2, 2016. Sharon was born August 29, 1942 in Forsyth to Donald Mortensen and Geraldine Carolan Tracey. Sharon spent most of her childhood with her grandparents on their ranch in Armells Creek, Mont.

Sharon married her lifelong love Roy Stanley Seekins, also from Forsyth on February 16, 1959. The couple moved to Libby. In 1966 and settled in to raise their three children.

During her time in Libby, Sharon was heavily involved in her daughters’ Girl Scout troops and influenced the lives of many neighborhood girls while serving as their troop leader.

Sharon also dedicated time to support her children’s school, 4-H club, church events and sporting activities. In addition, she also enjoyed making beautiful blankets with her ladies Green Bag Craft group.

In 2002, Sharon and Roy moved to Tucson, Ariz. to enjoy their retirement at a local retirement park community and help care for her first grandson Gaven.

Sharon was very active in the park community; being a member of the Roadrunners group, helping with organizing and assisting in monthly potlucks/events and of course enjoyed being involved in the local craft group.

Sharon Seekins was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Seekins and is survived by her three children, Yvonne Dianne (Shane) Hirschkorn of Tucson, Ariz., Geraldine Helen Miller of San Antonio, Texas, and Donald Ray Seekins of Tucson. Sharon is also survived by the following grandchildren: Darian Flowers, Kamaria Flowers, Echo (Ace) Seekins - Rurak, Sharon Flowers, Gaven Hirschkorn, Ian Hirschkorn and her only great-grandchild Evangeline Flowers, all whom she thoroughly enjoyed helping care for throughout the years.

We want to let her know that she did an outstanding job and wish her a safe journey to see dad and all our loved ones whom have passed. We will remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her love for life and her huge heart. She worked very hard all her life, up until the very end. She made a difference in the lives of all she met. Sharon: a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; you will forever be missed.

We invite you to join us in celebrating her life. Services will be held in Tucson, Arizona.
