East Coast church group helps create carnival
The Assembly of God Church on June 14 held the Kidz Blast Carnival with more than 100 kids in attendance.
Balloon tying, magic tricks, music, games, story, face paint and a bouncy castle were on the list of activities for the 112 kids at the carnival.
Bonnie Pait and her team from the Pennsylvania-Florida church district came up to help with community outreach across Montana, from Billings, Livingston, and Malta. One of the churches they helped out was the Assembly of God in Libby.
“Our mission was to inspire kids to get involved in their community,” said Pait.
“ I told the kids that I would dress up in a clown costume if more than 100 showed up, and then 112 showed up,” Lisa Goodman, the youth director for the Assembly of God, said.
The Assembly of God preschool-eighth grade organizations, MPACT Girls and the Rural Rangers Leader Boys, participated and helped with the event.
The Penn-Florida team also donated all the supplies they bought for the event to the Libby Assembly of God.
Libby Sports Center and the Christian Book Store sponsored the event with prizes for the children.
