Five fires reported over weekend

July 23-24, 4 p.m. - Five fires were reported. The fires were located in between lower Thomson and Meadow Peak Lookout at 4 p.m., in Turtle Cove at 11 p.m., in the Lower Quartz Creek area at 6:45 a.m., in Middle Thompson at 1 p.m., and by Rainbow Lake at 2 p.m.

July 22, 3:49 a.m. - Police assisted a female on Highway 2 at State Shop when she was staggering on the road. The woman told the police that she was walking home.

July 22, 1 p.m. - A resident reported a white Subaru driving down Highway 2 with a young child hanging out of an open window.

July 22, 5 p.m. - A man and a young girl walked away from a car accident unscathed near mile marker 74 on Highway 2.

July 22, 6 p.m. - Dispatch took a call that two vehicles with five kids were driving up the cement barrier on Education Way near the High School. There was no damage done to the vehicles.

July 22, 6:30 p.m. - A man on Bull Lake Road and Taylor Peak advised dispatch that a vehicle almost ran him off the road.

July 22, 8 p.m. - A Fifth Street resident called to report that someone had driven up on his lawn and tore up his yard earlier in the day.

July 22, 9 p.m. - Resident reported that she had taken too much insulin by accident and required medical attention.

July 23, 2 a.m. - Dispatch received a report of a “whacked up” individual tearing up and down the road.

July 23, 6:45 a.m. - A woman called dispatch to complain of two dogs waking up the neighborhood with barking. The woman called in every morning and informed of one large and one small dog at the “blue house at Idaho and Lincoln.”

July 23, 10 p.m. - A couple brought in a wallet that they found at the gas station.

July 24, 9 p.m. - A resident picked up an elderly lady that appeared to be confused. The lady claimed that someone is following her.

July 24, 2:30 p.m. - Dispatch received a call from a resident whose neighbor was screaming that their dog had killed the neighbor’s cat. The resident claimed that the neighbor’s accusations were false and would like it checked.

July 24, 5 p.m. - A resident reported that someone was driving on the Asa Wood track.
