Annette J. Oedewaldt, 92, of Libby

Annette J. Oedewaldt, 92, died on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center in Libby. She was born on August 7, 1923 to Michel and Josephine (Fantone)

Marchetto at Aix-en- Provence, France. She grew up and attended school in France.

Annette married Roger Oedewaldt in 1945 in France. They moved to Shelby in 1946. They moved their family to Libby in 1961. She was a loving person who cared for all the kids in the neighborhood. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and gardening, loved her flowers, quilting and pretended to love hunting. She had a passion for quilting and one year made hundreds of quilts for the church. Annette was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and had served as treasurer and president.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, her parents and all her siblings, Marguerite, Marthe, Alfred and Michel.

Survivors include her children Roger Oedewaldt (Laura), Tacoma, Wash.; Aaron Oedewaldt, Libby; Terry Oedewaldt (Carol), Libby; grandchildren Amber Roal, Centralia, Wash.; Lisa Oedewaldt, Libby; Roger M. Oedewaldt (Scott), Denver, Col.; Chelsey Oedewaldt, Tacoma, Wash.; Stacey Oedewaldt, Richland, Wash.; six great grandchildren Jacob, Brianna, Melanie, Jessica, Sebastian, Lily; and godchildren Holly Rundle and Justin Ness.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the VFW in Libby. Burial will be private. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
