Christina “Tina” Marie Benefield, 24, of Libby

| July 15, 2016 10:11 AM

Christina “Tina” Marie Benefield, 24, suddenly lost her life in a tragic accident on July 12, 2016 outside of her home town in Libby, Mont. She was born to Sean Benefield and Amber Good on December 5, 1991 in Kalispell, Mont. After graduating high school in 2010, she got the traveling bug to go along with her wildly free spirit. That spirit took her to Oregon, North Dakota, Utah and various places in Montana before landing in Moscow, Idaho. Tina fell in love with the town and the people. She had called it home for the past three years.

Tina had so many amazing friends; some of them became her extended family. She recently became a little homesick and decided to move back home. She was eager to reconnect with family and friends. Tina always lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed camping, hiking, huckleberry picking, playing and listening to music and fishing. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her most treasured possession, her great dane, “Moose.”

Survivors include her father Sean (Ashley) Benefield, Libby; mother Amber (Gary) Good, Libby; boyfriend Keith Weber; brothers Michael and his daughter Kaydence; Byron Benefield, Bozeman; grandmother Gayla Benefield, Libby; grandfather Dan Adams, Sedro Woolley, Wash. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby. Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Libby Christian Church. A reception will follow at the Benefield residence on Cedar Creek Road. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
