Michael A. Purves, 49, of Libby

Michael A. Purves, 49, of Libby, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center of natural causes. He was born Nov. 14, 1966 in Lancaster, Calif. to James J. and Mary (Blythe) Purves. Mike grew up in Ridgecrest, Calif. and graduated with the Class of 1985. In 1986, Mike moved to Libby and worked as a tile setter for a number of years. He owned and operated his own tile business for several years. Mike went to work for Cardinal Hardware in 1999 and worked there until his death. Mike enjoyed working around his house and in his garden. He will be missed by those who knew him. Mike was preceded in death by his girlfriend, Lynette Korte.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Purves of Libby and sister, Lori Purves of Grants Pass, Ore. Services for Mike will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
