A Libby man was arrested in a grocery store parking lot last week marking his fifth arrest this year.

Jeremiah Kendall, 35, of Libby, was arrested on June 5 in the parking lot of a local grocery store by local law enforcement for a warrant out of Missoula County. The warrant was issued for Kendall after Missoula County revoked his bond for a later drug charge, according to Lincoln County Sheriff Robe Bowe.

Kendall was arrested on June 2 in Missoula for felony partner or family member assault and felony intimidation. The Missoulian reported that court documents alleged that Kendall threw the woman to the ground and strangled her in their hotel room. According to the report, Kendall allegedly told the woman afterward that he would kill her if she reported the assault. The woman slept in the hotel room that night before hotel staff saw her injuries the next day and called 911.

Kendall’s bail in Missoula was set at $75,000, having been charged with his fourth partner or family member assault, while he had another pending assault case in Libby involving the same woman. Kendall posted bond and returned to Libby, where he was met with a new $50,000 bond for violating the conditions of his release in the Libby assault case while in Missoula. Kendall posted that bond as well, but was arrested again on June 23 for felony possession of dangerous drugs, which revoked his bond in Missoula. In February, Kendall was also arrested for obstructing and escaping a police officer.

On June 5, Kendall was arrested on the warrant from Missoula County.
