Jan. 15, 2016
• Deputies responded to a complaint of criminal mischief on Indian Creek Road.
• A woman reported receiving a call from a man pretending to be from Publishers’ Clearing House requesting her to wire $499 in order to claim her millions of dollars in prize money.
• A caller from the Woodland Heights Road area reported a neighbor threatened to kill their family dog.
• A woman called to report a dog hit and killed by a vehicle at the top of Whiskey Hill.
• Deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a residence on Balsam Street. The altercation was reported as verbal only and the parties were separated.
• A man brought an EBT card into the Sheriff’s Office he found near Third Street and Utah Avenue.
• A caller reported a minor riding a skateboard in the highway. City police warned the youngster about riding in the road.
• A shoplifter was reported at a local store.
• Montana Highway Patrol responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 2 and found that two vehicles had struck the same deer. No human injuries were reported.
Jan. 16, 2016
• Suspicious persons were reported at a local bar. Responding deputies reported four individuals “going home for the night.”
• City police officers were looking for an older white Ford F150, no reason was given for the search.
• A caller reported a wrecked four-wheeler that left the area of Louisiana Avenue with no lights and possibly four people on it. No injuries were reported at the hospital.
• Montana Highway Patrol was dispatched to Piney Road after a report of individuals riding snowmobiles very fast.
• A caller reported hitting a deer in the area of Farm to Market Road and Libby Creek. Minimal damage was reported to the vehicle, the condition of the deer was unknown, but it ran off.
• Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and Montana Highway Patrol officers responded to a reported single vehicle rollover on Bull Lake Road.
• Montana Highway Patrol was dispatched to the McGregor Lake area for a vehicle that slid off the road.
• Libby Police were dispatched to U.S. Highway 2 and Louisiana for an accident involving a single vehicle and a power pole.
• A caller reported a car in the ditch on Kootenai River Road and Highway 37.
• A caller reported an issue with a neighbor. The caller did not want law enforcement involvement, but wanted it noted for future reference.
Jan. 17, 2016
• A woman reported a vehicle slid off the road and into her yard. Montana Highway Patrol responded.
• A caller reported a minor attempting to purchase alcohol with a fake ID at a local bar.
• A caller reported someone making threats.
• Libby Police responded to a report of an out of control patient at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center.
• Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after investigating a reported drunk driving incident and discovering the man had a suspended drivers license.
• A caller reported a small black car was driving recklessly on My Road and hit a tree. The caller was unwilling to sign a complaint.
• A caller reported an individual shooting a rifle at a makeshift shooting range near Quartz Road. Deputies advised the individual the range was not adequate and they should not be shooting.
• A caller reported a woman walking down California Avenue crying. Deputies located the woman but she refused to speak with them.
• A woman reported hitting something in the street, which caused her car to become disabled.
• Libby Police received a third-party report of a partner family member assault, the reported victim was afraid to contact law enforcement.
• Officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance, the parties were separated.
Jan. 18, 2016
• A caller reported a sexual assault from mid-December 2015.
• A man reported being harassed on Facebook and being accused of stealing a gun.
• A woman called on behalf of a friend to see if he had a warrant. Sheriff’s deputies were unable to find any warrants on the subject.
• A caller reported her landlord was stealing her power to run equipment.
• Troy Police arrested a man on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear on a littering charge.
• A man called police after hearing glass break in the area of his home.
• A woman called to report someone hit her car while she was parked at work.
• A man brought a set of keys he found to the Sheriff’s Office.
