Jan. 10, 2016

 

• A man reported an employee from a local utility company entered his shed and stole a huckleberry picker. The man reported the theft to the company, but then called the Sheriff’s Office because the situation had not been remedied.

• Bull Lake Fire Dept. reported responding to a slide off near mile marker 22 on Highway 56. There were no injuries, but responders requested Troy dispatch contact Montana Highway Patrol.

• A fight between two inmates at the Lincoln County jail resulted in one man being transported to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center for evaluation.

• A woman from Spencer Road called to report hearing men yelling and she noticed her neighbor was sitting on her front porch.

• A man reported items had fallen from his truck in the area of a local convenience store. The reported missing items were five gallon buckets containing chains and wedges and a cordless Skilsaw with battery.

• A caller from a local shop reported a running vehicle parked in the employee lot for an excessive amount of time. Investigating deputies found a man sleeping in the vehicle.

• A man reported to the Lincoln County jail for a commitment to the Department of Corrections.

• A woman called to report her father-in-law for keeping her mail and packages in Colorado.

• A traffic accident resulted in a citation for driving under the influence near the intersection of Airport Road and Highway 37.

• A woman picked up a stray dog at Kootenai Falls while passing through the area. County animal control was notified.

• An employee of the local child protective services office requested officer assistance to record calls received from a woman.

• A caller from Vanderwood Road reported finding fresh footprints in the snow around vehicles and suspected someone had been looking into the vehicles.

• A caller reported having sold property to a person, but was unable to collect the agreed-upon price.

• Deputies responded to a report of a truck in a ditch after the driver swerved to avoid a deer. A tow truck was called, but canceled after they were able to get the truck out of the ditch.

• A driver was cited for driving with an expired registration.

• A man was arrested in the area of the 300 block of California Avenue on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Libby City Court.

 

Jan. 12, 2016

 

• A third-party reported a domestic assault from the previous day. The victim was reported to be in a safe location, but law enforcement was requested to investigate.

• Troy dispatch faxed a complaint to the Sheriff’s Office from a woman who claimed another woman was withholding the title to her vehicle.

• Deputies were called to the Kootenai River Bridge on Highway 37 to investigate a pickup truck parked on the road.

• A man was arrested near Bull Lake and charged with driving under the influence after his car slid into the guard rail on Highway 56.

•The Highway Department reported a car in a ditch on U.S. Highway 2 at mile marker 49. The driver reported running out of gas.

• A driver was cited for driving without insurance in Libby.
