Financial aid forms available now

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available at FAFSA.gov, so Montana students and families should prepare to complete this important application before priority filing dates at Montana schools.

“Every year some Montana students miss out on much-needed funding because they don’t complete the FAFSA,” said Rhonda Safford, state-wide coordinator of College Goal Montana. “All students with plans to go to college in the fall should complete this form and get it submitted by the priority date at their school.”

For most Montana postsecondary schools, the priority FAFSA filing date is March 1. At the University of Montana, that date is Feb. 15.

College Goal Montana is an annual campaign to encourage FAFSA awareness and to help students and families complete the form that provides access to federal, and some state and institutional, aid. 2016 will mark the 11th year that SAF has organized the effort for Montana.
