Nov. 6

 

• A caller on Lincoln Boulevard said her 17-year-old brother left earlier in the night and the family was concerned because the brother had been with a bad crowd. The mother called later to add the last call on her son’s phone before he left was from another male teen she overheard threatening him a few days previously. The caller believed the brother to have left on foot, but did not know his bearing or clothing. They described the brother to be 5’11”, thin, with curly light brown hair. The mother called later and said she did not believe the brother was wearing a jacket, but has distinctive black and orange shoes.

• A caller on Greers Ferry Road reported a bear in their garage. Dispatch called the caller back and the caller said the bear left the garage.

• A deputy followed a suspicious vehicle from the intersection between Sixth Street and Montana Avenue to Park Street. The deputy met with the driver outside their residence on Park Street and arrested them on a city warrant.

• A 911 caller on Deerwood Lane said someone busted out the window in their vehicle and stole their wallet. Deputies responded.

• A caller on Main Street reported her neighbor was trapping her cats.

• A 911 caller on Terrace View Road requested help lifting a woman. The woman was not injured. Another 911 caller asked that help be cancelled as the woman was up.

• A caller on Highway 2 reported a woman harassing her about taking her daughter away.

• A caller on West Oak Street asked to speak to an officer regarding troubles with their neighbor.

• A deputy handled a temporary restraining order violation on West Road.

• Troy Dispatch called Fish and Game to report an injured deer on the side of the road on Highway 2.

• Beaverhead County requested a welfare check on a man. Deputies made contact with the individual.

• A local business employee reported a man in a tan jeep illegally parked in a handicapped spot. The employee called back and said the vehicle was gone.

• An employee with Child & Family Services called to report a woman driving with no valid license or insurance. The woman drove a silver Honda with Oregon plates.

• A caller at a local business reported a disturbance in the parking lot.

• A caller at Three Corner Trailer Park called to report a suspicious person entering a home through the window.

• A caller on Airfield Road reported a suspicious vehicle. Deputies responded.

• A caller on Highway 2 reported a deer strike. Montana Highway Patrol responded.

• A caller on Park Street called to report a blue truck speeding on the street and said they were willing to sign a complaint.

• A woman walked into the jail lobby for commitment and was arrested.

• A man walked into the jail lobby to report for commitment and was arrested.

• Two male juveniles came to the jail lobby to turn themselves in. Police took them to Troy Juvenile Detention.

• A man turned himself in for commitment and was arrested.

• A caller on Avenue B reported suspicious activity. Deputies responded. The original caller’s neighbor said that dogs were going crazy in the back yard of the house in question. Deputies found nothing wrong.

 

Nov. 7

 

• A caller on Northwood Drive called to report a suspicious person on her porch. Deputies responded.

• A caller on Kootenai Vista Drive reported their neighbor playing their music really loud. A deputy responded, but could hear no loud noise.

• A caller on Boulder Lane reported a bear trying to break into their garage. Game wardens said they would follow up with the caller.

• A caller at a local business said someone broke out a window in their vehicle and stole their wallet.

• Troy Dispatch reported a call regarding a running vehicle on the side of Chase Cutoff Road. The caller got out and looked around, but didn’t see anyone, and reported it was a quad cab with dealer plates. Deputies responded and made contact with a man sleeping in the back seat. The man was transported to a local repair shop.

• A 911 caller on Louisiana Avenue said she had been “ripped off.”

• A caller on Kootenai River Road reported a brown mare got away from him and took off on the river toward town.

• A deputy responded to a theft complaint on Parmenter Drive.

• A 911 caller on Coulter Way reported a trespasser on their neighbor’s property and requested an officer.

• A caller on Old U.S. Highway 2 reported horses grazing in their yard and asked if anyone was missing any horses.

• A caller on McGinnis Meadows Road said someone shot a deer on his property. As game wardens responded, the caller reported the suspect left the scene en route to Highway 2. Fish, Wildlife & Parks officers made contact with the suspect vehicle and escorted the suspect back to the scene. Officers took a statement from the suspect.

• A caller on West Third Street reported a suspicious vehicle following her children. Libby police officers spoke with the caller.

• A caller on Dawson Street reported a trespasser. Deputies responded and spoke with the caller and told her she would need a legal eviction notice.

• A caller on Highway 2 and Lake Creek reported a possible DUI.

• A deputy met with an individual on California Avenue in response to a report of suspicious activity.

• A caller on Highway 2 and Yaak Hill called to report a vehicle with no tail lights.
