The Troy Trojans ended the regular season on a high note Saturday night, defending their home court against Mission, 62-52.

With senior night emotion in the air, the Trojans came out strong, but the Bulldogs gave them a solid run for their money. After Mission cut the lead to just two points late in the game, Troy pulled out an 8-0 run to seal the deal.

Sean Opland led the Trojans with 17, Kolton Winebark added another 16.

“We were able to outscore Mission by 11 in the second half,” head coach Jerry Mee said. “Mission cut our lead in the fourth quarter to two points, but the players did a nice job closing the game when Mission pressed to go on an 8-0 run to close the game. Now the regular season is over and it is time for tourney time. We need to play our best ball to have a chance.”

The Trojans face Eureka at the Troy Activity Center  at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the District 7-B play-in game.
