74, of Libby

 

Arlene C. Schmitt 74, was given life by her Creator and was born in Frankenmuth, Mich., on June 28, 1941, the child of Winfried and Emma Knoll. On July 6, 1941, she received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On April 3, 1955, she publicly confessed her faith and was confirmed and received the precious gift of the Lord’s life giving body and blood.

On Nov. 27, 1965, she received the gift of a beloved companion in her spouse, Nestor. She was blessed with the gift of two children, David and James, daughter in-law Erin and two grandchildren, Katelyn and Mandy.

On Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, God blessed Arlene with a holy death and took her home to rest in the arms of Jesus until the resurrection of the dead. 

In addition to her immediate family, she is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Marge Knoll, and a sister and brother-in-law, Bob and Kathy Schollmeyer.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Winfried and Emma Knoll, and a brother, Edward Knoll.

Precious in the sight of the Lord are the death of His saints.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church in Libby. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 19 from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
