Turner Mountain is all geared up for opening day, estimating they will open this weekend.

According to Bruce Zwang, the mountain is tentatively set to open on Dec. 23 and 24, and will be closed on Christmas Day. If conditions allow, they are set to then reopen on Dec. 26 through Jan. 2.

Zwang estimated the mountain has 24 inches of snow at the top and about 16 inches at the bottom as of Monday.

Depending on the amount of snow they receive over the week, they will either open on Friday, Dec. 23, or sometime next week.

“Hopefully we’ll have good skiing,” Bruce said. “Everything is ready to go.”

Skiers are asked to keep updated on the website at skiturner.com or call their snow phone at 293-2468.

Passes and gift certificates are for sale at Zwang’s office on 519 California Avenue or at Libby Sports.

The hours for Turner Mountain are 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
