Wrestlers roll their way to two wins

On Tuesday, the Libby Greenchain came away with two victories.

Against Thompson Falls, Libby claimed seven of the 12 matches with 40 against 28. Then, with an overall victory of 36-31, Libby came back to the mat and took seven of the 13 matches against Eureka.

On the rubber,

Dylan Yeadon weighing in at 113, pinned down Thompson Falls’ Garrett Jones in 56 seconds for a 6-0 finish.

Trey Thompson 126, won over Corey Lantz in 54 seconds for another 6-0.

Cyrus Sweedman, 205, picked up a win against Seth Alacorn for 14-6 and a 4-0.

285 Clancy Gout got the best of Austin Cooper in 2:49 and 6-0.

Buddy Doolin, 103, Reed Christensen, 138, and Laine Young won when their opponents forfeited the matches.

Mason Sams, Michael Diller, Tim Carvey, Tanner Wood and Dylan Parrish all put up a good fight, but were ultimately defeated by their opponents during the Thompson Falls Matches.

During the battle against Eureka, the Loggers almost let the Lions get the better of them, but still championed over the rivals to the North.

Doolin took down Austin Warren in 1:43 for a 6-0 match.

Earning a redeeming victory at the tournament, Sams, weighing in at 120, garnered more points than his opponent, Nathan Schmidt for 8-4.

Dylan Parrish took down Colby Hammock in a decision for 4-1.

Yeadon, Thompson, Christensen, Young all won during forfeits.

The night was not in favor of Diller, Carvey, Wood and Sweedman, who each lost in their duels.
