The fourth annual Ladies Night Out is looking to be the best one yet, according to event organizer Linda Remp.

“Every year it gets larger and better,” Remp said. “Everyone really goes all out.”

On Dec. 9, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Girls Night Out will kick off, with 24 local businesses participating in the event.

During the event, participants can go out and get a stamp card at any of the main 10 businesses. After receiving their stamp card, they then have to go and get the card stamped at the remaining nine businesses. The filled card is then placed in a drawing for a $100 gift certificate that can be redeemed at any one of the 10 businesses.

The ten businesses participating in the Girls Night Out stamp cards are Rivermist Home Décor & Gift, Libby Floral & Gift, Dream Marine, Frames Unlimited and Engraving, Good News Christian Books and Music, Managhan’s Furniture Inc., The Printing Press, Libby Sports Center, Homesteader’s Ranch & Feed Supply and Mountain Meadows Gifts and Espresso. The gift certificate awarded in the grand prize drawing can be redeemed at any one of these places.

While the event has a feminine touch, everyone is welcome to participate and take a to tour of the town’s businesses and vendors.

There are 10 main businesses, but 24 total businesses are going to be participating in some way with specials, sales and setting up vendors.

At the Hidden Chapel, people are encouraged to shop at their holiday bazaar, where approximately 12 vendors will set up shop in the venue. The VFW is also putting on a vendors and craft event. Vendors will also be set up an some of the main 10 businesses. Remp said that the vendors mainly sell women’s products such as makeup, candles and crafts.

Ladies night started in 2013, when Remp asked herself how she could support the local businesses in Libby while also having a night for local women to go out and have fun. Out of that thought, she came up with Girls Night Out.

“I love Libby,” Remp said. “I love everything about it, and I want it to be fun for the holidays.”

The final drawing for the $100 gift card will take place on Dec. 12, in which the winner will be notified.
