Community Prayer Group this Thursday

The Community Prayer Group will meet on Thursday, Dec. 8, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs community room at First Montana Bank.

The Focus for prayer for December is Protection of our Freedom to Worship and Witness. The Prayer Group is an interdenominational gathering of Christians who generally meet the second and fourth Thursdays every month. However, due to the holidays, they will only meet the second Thursday in December.

All who are willing to join in prayer are welcome.

First Montana Bank is located at 504 Mineral Ave.

Self Help law coming last time until Spring

The representative from the Self Help Law Program will be at the Lincoln County Courthouse, second floor, in the law library on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to provide free forms and information on legal resources to self-represented litigants in the areas of divorce, name change, stepparent adoption, custody, child support, debt collection, eviction and more. Walk-ins are accepted but appointments are encouraged.

This will be the last visit of the Self Help Law representative in Libby until the spring of 2017.

“Celebrate the Child” coming to KVCS

Kootenai Valley Christian School will present, “Celebrate the Child”, on Dec. 9, 6:30 p.m. at the Libby Christian Church, 100 River Road. The community is invited to attend. Admission is free.

Elks Kids Christmas Party next week

The Elks Kids Christmas Party will take place on Monday, Dec. 12.

The party is for all kids ages 10 and under.

At 5 p.m., hot dogs and juice will be handed out, and at 6 p.m., Santa Claus will arrive.

The Elks Lodge is located at 220 West Fourth Street.
