August 15, 12:30 a.m. — A report came into dispatch that individuals were yelling back and forth between residences.

August 15, 3 a.m. — A resident called dispatch to complain that neighboring dogs had been barking for the last 45 minutes.

August 15, 9 a.m. — Five gallons of coolant concentrate reportedly leaked onto concrete floor in a nearby tunnel.

August 15, 9:45 a.m. — A theft was reported when a man told dispatch that someone stole his log splitter.

August 15, 11:30 a.m. — The county road crew turned in a vehicle in the ditch near Troy, with no one around the vehicle.

August 15, noon — A man called dispatch to report that his wife’s male friend got into his face and was packing a weapon.

August 15, 5:30 p.m. — A suspicious person was reportedly claiming to be with the Census Bureau, but didn’t have any paperwork. The person who called in the report said that this could possibly be a scam. The man claiming to be with the Census Bureau was reported to be short and stocky built with a mustache and salt and peppered hair.

August 15, 6 p.m. — An individual told dispatch that he saw two juvenile males smoking at a nearby creek.

August 16, 5 p.m. — A caller out on Highway 2 reported that they could see a possible tree covering the railroad tracks across the Kootenai River.

August 16, 5:30 p.m. — A person on a mini-bike was reported driving down Highway 2.

August 16, 7:30 p.m. — Fire department responded to a lawnmower on fire next to a home.

August 16, 8 p.m. — A caller reported that a dog was on their neighbor’s yard killing chickens.

August 16, 8 p.m. — Motorcycles were reported driving through a closed nearby road.

August 16, 10:30 p.m. — A resident called to report that their neighbor’s yard was filling with water. City Water was advised.

August 16, 11:30 p.m. — Nearby campers reported that a man was yelling obscenities and throwing items in the area of his campsite.

August 17, 2 a.m. — A woman called to report that a male individual was at her residence and took off with her medications.

August 17, 5 a.m. — On Highway 2, a vehicle was reported to be sitting way off the road behind a telephone pole. The caller went down with a flashlight to make sure no one was in the vehicle. Police eventually found the driver of the vehicle, who had been driving under the influence.

August 17, 1:30 p.m. — Many calls came in to the Eureka dispatch about a rollover between Libby and Eureka.

August 17, 3:45 p.m. — A resident’s neighbor reportedly threatened him over issues with cats straying onto the resident’s property.

August 17, 4 p.m. — Tires were reported stolen from a local business.

August 17, 9 p.m. — An anonymous tip advised dispatch of either gunshots or fireworks near their residence.

August 17, 9:30 p.m. — A caller reported that two male individuals in a pickup had taken something from the business next to the caller’s residence.

August 17, 11:30 p.m. — Police responded to a call on Highway 2 where a man reportedly hit a storm drain on his bike. The man was reportedly fine and did not require medical attention.
