Diana Maria Allen, 72, of Libby

| August 12, 2016 10:46 AM

On Friday July 29, 2016, Diana Maria (Landis) Allen, our beloved, passed from this realm to the next. Leaving behind her loved ones as a reflection of the beauty she offered the world.

Diana was born on Feb. 21, 1944 and raised in Wolf Point where she graduated in 1962. After high school she worked in Glasgow, where she met and married her husband of 53 years, James Allen Sr. She and her husband had four amazing children that they raised in Libby from 1971-1995. In 1995, Diana moved to Billings to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She worked at First Interstate Bank for a short time before working at Third Avenue Auto repair. In 2004, she and her husband moved to Broadview, where she resided until her passing.

Diana enjoyed a numerous variety of activities including golfing, bowling, sewing, gardening, and cooking just to name a few. She had a gift to “gab”, and never met a person who did not like her. The things that brought her the most joy were her family and friends. She was the families’ matriarch, always kind, gentle, giving, friendly and extremely intelligent.

She is survived by her husband Jim Sr., her three sons Jim Jr. (Theresa), Dennis (Mary), Bill (Carlene) and daughter Mary. She had 10 beautiful grandchildren, and five wonderful great-grandchildren. Her brothers Don (Karen), Andy “Bill” (Penny) and her sister Audrey. She also has a cousin that she loved as a brother, Carl (Margaret). There are many more family members, too monumental to name.

There will be a “Celebration of Life” for Diana at a later date. In lieu of condolences, Diana and family would be honored if donations were made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or an organization of your choice.
